After coffee on arrival, the evening offers you direct access to insights on this management theme through our speakers. Speakers:

This evening will examine strategy and purchasing within an organisation and also provide pointers on how to effectively engage in the tendering process, making the best of opportunities that present themselves to your business (particularly in dealing with larger businesses) and how to deal with them. Jamie Ashton will talk about the experience of SMEs working with larger  businesses and offer some thoughts on the best way to engage in supply chains and tendering opportunities.

I should be talking for free that evening about Purchasing.  I say should because my co-presenter has had to drop out at short notice, and until we have sorted out the replacement things are a bit up in the air.

Life balance

I know that I am far too late on this to have any influence, but I wish we could start talking about Life Balance, rather than Work/Life balance.

When you think that your  work is something other different to your life,  you immediately have a problem.

What we need to be doing is balancing the elements in our lives, or which work is one.
